Cookbooks

A Cookbook are a set of recipes contained by a title.

Making one​

With the Cookbooks chip lit, the Add button becomes + Cookbook. This opens a panel where you can set the title.

Under All the list holds both kinds (recipes + cookbooks). Its menu offers a cookbook beside the ways of adding a recipe. Under Recipes it makes recipes only, because that is all that list can show.

Adding a recipe​

There are two ways to add recipes to a cookbook. Via a recipe page using in the quick actions panel. The add panel shows all available cookbooks.

The other way is to swipe left (or using the three dots) on a cookbook and click the plus icon.

At the end if a recipe page there is a card showing all cookbooks the recipe is placed into. Each of these items are clickable and take you to the respective cookbook.

If you do no whish to see the cookbooks card you can hide it under: Settings => User => Hidden Items, this is a per device setting.

Renaming one, and taking recipes out​

Edit cookbook — from a cookbook's card in the Library, or from the menu on its own page, opens the name and the list of what is in it. Rename it, untick anything that should go, and Save applies both.

Who can see and change what​

Cookbooks obey the recipe permission policy your administrator already set.

Nothing about cookbooks is destructive:

  • Deleting a cookbook leaves every recipe it held untouched.
  • Deleting a recipe takes it out of every cookbook it was in.
  • A cookbook made by someone who later deletes their account stays (becomes orphaned).

Offline​

Every cookbook you can see, and what is in it, is part of the guaranteed Warm Set.
